Beauty Counter…My New Obsession!

This stuff is the bees knees when it comes to scrub! I just got back from Cabo and my back is a hot peeling mess…I used this scrub to make my back look new again and it worked like a charm. The smell is sensational and the texture is unlike any other scrub I have used. It is made with brown sugar to buff away dull skin, and mineral-rich evening primrose, sweet almond, apricot kernel, and sunflower oils to leave skin looking supple and smooth. Antioxidant-rich acai berry supports healthy skin, and a mix of pure citrus and lemongrass oils leaves a fresh and invigorating scent. I am so glad I found this gem in a jar! Cost $40

Another favorite product for my skin is the the Beauty Counter Enrich Body Butter in Citrus Mimosa, this is the filet mignon of skin creams. I use this everyday when I get out of the shower for the sofest silkiest skin ever. It is a rich body butter for very dry skin that absorbs easily without feeling greasy. Shea butter and mongongo oil hydrate and nourish skin, while organic sunflower oil, aloe, and chamomile soothe and smooth. Your skin will thank you when you put this on! $39

Here is the holy grail of tinted moisturizers!!! It leaves skin with a luminous glow. Dew Skin Moisturizing Coverage SPF 20 provides lightweight, sheer hydration that evens skin tone while protecting the skin from sun damage. Black currant, peony flower root extract, and vitamin C reduce the appearance of age spots and enhance skin brightness, while hyaluronic acid promotes firmer, smoother-looking skin. I have used a tinted moisturizer since I was 14 and I have tried them all from $5 ones to $50 and this stuff is my pick, it was also Allure magazines pick as well! $45

I just got back from Cabo and I brought this body oil with me, after I had a nice tan this stuff is the best for summer. Before I put on my outfit for dinner I would rub my legs, arms, and chest with this to make it look like I was heading to a Sports Illustrated photo shoot. The best part was it stayed on all night and wasn’t sticky! it was instantly absorbed and intensely moisturizing, this nourishing blend of 13 botanical oils leaves skin smooth, silky, and luminous, while hints of grapefruit, sweet orange, and rosemary create a beautifully complex yet subtle scent.I love this and will keep this as a beauty staple! $73

6 Month Update!

My sweet angel is 6 months, can you believe it? I can’t! It seriously flew by, she’s not my little sleepy baby, now she’s a scooting, drooling, talking, toe sucking diva! We go to the doctor next week but so far so good!

Not Sleeping Through the Night: She is still not sleeping through the night what so ever! She goes down at 7pm and usually wakes up at 11pm, 4:30pm then up for good at 7am. Her naps are becoming a little longer now. She takes a morning nap for about and hour and then one more mini nap throughout the day (usually 230 to 4). Lets just say she is a HOT mess if girlfriend doesnt get those naps!
Clothes: Layla’s wearing 3-6 and 6 month clothes and nothing smaller! We are in the diaper size 2 and they are perfect! This little lady still has the yummiest cheeks and thighs but she has lengthened out a ton she’s 26 inches and weighs 14 pounds. I looked it up and the internet says a normal 6 month old girl should be 14-17 pounds and 23-26 inches. So she is in the tallest for height and lowest for weight..maybe she’s the next Gigi Hadid!!
Crawling: at 4 months she started scooting around backward and has been trying to crawl but she only gets a few feet before she quits out of frustration. While she babbles up a storm she’s still not talking yet! I can’t wait for her first words!
First Tooth: She’s working on it! Drooling everywhere, everything is in her mouth, she’s fussy as hell so maybe one will cut soon!
First Time on a Plane: At almost 6 months we took her on her first adventure, I will write about that next time! But I can tell you she did AMAZING, proud mom moment.
Food: She has now moved on the fruit and is loving it! If I am not making it from scratch we are only buying organic, non gmo, pouches, she loves the pouches because she can grab them and try and fed her self but its a huge mess!

She is growing up right before my eyes and is getting better and better everyday! Her eyes are the most beautiful color blue, her hair is white as snow, she smiles and loves people telling her she’s pretty, she responds to the name princess, and we are falling more in love with this little diva everyday!

Veggie Tales,Green Then Orange!

The pediatrician gave us the green light at 4 months to start on veggies! He broke it down by color…green first! I was so excited to go and get any veggies that were green that I could roast then put in my ninja, pop it into ice cube trays and freeze! I went to the grocery and got a baggie of English peas, and green beans I set the oven to 400 degrees and put them on a sheet tray for 15-20 minutes with nothing on them. That night I gave her, her first bite of real food…at first she was totally confused and kept smacking her lips the second bite was way more interesting, then the third bite you could tell she was in love with green beans!

Then after that we got to move on to the orange vegetables this included sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and carrots! This one was way more fun because they have more sugars in them so I knew Layla would chow down on them! I didn’t add anything but water to them when I put them in the ninja and I kept finding my self munching on it as I was feeding it to her, its actually really good!! Her favorite of course is sweet potatoes because they are so sweet, she literally takes the bowl out of my hand and puts her whole face in it! Next week we move on to another color I am not sure yet, I know at 6 months is when we can start on fruit and that will be fun!!
